Author Nancy B. Kennedy discusses her new middle grade book, Women Win the Vote: 19 for the 19th Amendment. It features biographies of 19 women who helped pave the way for passage of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. In 2017, a friend mentioned to Nancy that 2020 would mark the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Nancy got to work, won a pitch contest and found a publisher. Her book was published in February 2020—just in time to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Amendment 19.
